Wheeler Whitlow (4-11-17) service 4-14-17

Wheeler  Whitlow, of Savannah, was born on Oct. 16, 1930, the son of the late Charlie A. and Elzie Mackie Reynolds Whitlow. On June 15, 1968, he married Janice Graham, who survives.
Wheeler departed this life on Tuesday, April 11, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 26 days.
Wheeler worked at J&J Tractor for more than 15 years, and he was an expert at repairing New Holland haybalers. He also worked as a self-employed farmer and as a real estate agent for Century 21 for three years. Wheeler attended Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a member of FFA, and was the president of his high school class in 1948. After high school, he played football at the University of Tennessee Junior College. Wheeler loved reading, riding bicycles, working on all types of puzzles, and traveling. He was a hard-working man who was known for his sense of humor. Wheeler was a gentle man who loved his family and friends deeply.
In addition to his wife, Wheeler is survived by his sisters, Ollie Cagle and Rubye Seaton, both of Savannah; and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Along with his parents, Wheeler was preceded in death by his sister, Mable Cagle.
Memorial donations can be made to Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6095 Hwy 226, Savannah, Tennessee 38372 or the charity of your choice.
Services were held on Friday, April 14, at 1 p.m., at Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church  in Savannah with Paul Woodford, Duwayne Pounds and Mitch Boulton officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
