Marjorie Smith (4-14-17) service 4-17-17

Marjorie Ann Falls Smith was born on Aug. 10, 1935, in Savannah, the daughter of the late Hershel Hiram and Lillie Mae Porter Falls.
She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church for many years where she taught Sunday school, led GA’s, and served as Sunday school secretary. In her later years, she was a member at Mount Hermon Baptist Church. She was deputy register of deeds at the Hardin County Courthouse where she worked for many years until she retired. She was a Girl Scout leader and helped with the boy scouts. She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
Marjorie Ann Falls Smith departed this life on Friday, April 14, in Savannah, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, 4 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Danette Blackwelder (Greg) and Ellana Wilson; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Smith; daughter, Pamela Ann Smith; two brothers; and three sisters.
Services were held on Monday, April 17, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Artie Rivers officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
