Richard Worley (3-12-17)

Dickey (Richard) Joseph Worley was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on Jan. 31, 1946.
He passed from this life on Sunday, March 12, at the age of 71.
When he was 5 years old the family moved to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Later in life he moved to Florence, Alabama, and finally settled in Savannah.
He was the fifth child of Claude and Idell Nelson Worley, both deceased. His oldest sister, Jeanette Andrea, also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his brother, James Worley and wife Ginger of Salem, Oregon; a sister, Shelby Beatty of Apache Junction, Arizona; a brother, Steven Worley and wife Delores of Savannah; five children, Shaun Worley Moore, Jarvis Worley, Mary Jo Shelton, Rickey Worley and Anthony Worley; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Savannah Church of Christ where people will now miss his smiling face and sense of humor. He could be found by the coffee pot, either making coffee or drinking it.
He has started his journey to heaven, with a rest stop in paradise, to wait upon God’s time to take his servants home.
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
