Rex Milford (2-23-17) service 2-26-17
Rex Milford was born March 16, 1935, in McNairy County, the son of the late Dennis E. and Jewel Garrison Milford.
He was united in marriage to Betty Sue Youngblood on Aug. 21, 1965.
Mr. Milford retired from Pickwick Landing State Park. He was a member of Meeks Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Adamsville,. His hobbies were playing dominos with family and friends, farming alongside his son, and he was a longtime supporter of Adamsville Cardinals football team. His voice was one of the Tennessee River Boys for more than 50 years. He, along with his twin brother Ray, and brother-in-law Jerry were the original three boys.
Mr. Milford departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 23, in Savannah, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, 7 days.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Milford of Stantonville; a son, Marlon Rex Milford of Stantonville; twin brother, Ray Milford and wife Shirley of Stantonville; three sisters, Willie Ann Milford, Carolyn Murphy, and Sandra Whitten and husband Jerry, all of Stantonville; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Milford was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Shelia Diane Guynes; and a brother, Jerry Dan Milford.
Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m., at Meeks Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Adamsville with Charles Linam officiating. Burial followed in Meeks Grove Cemetery at Stantonville.
