Ida Lou Morris Walker, of Savannah, was born in Adamsville on Feb. 7, 1937, the daughter of the late Thomas Lester “Doc” and Clyde Long Morris.
On Feb. 3, 1967, she was united in marriage to James Kenneth Walker, who survives.
Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Adamsville Shiloh Golf Course. She coached girls softball and basketball. She was very athletic. While in Adamsville High School, she held record for many years for most points scored in a game.
Mrs. Walker departed this life on Monday, Feb. 13, in Savannah, at the age of 80 years and 6 days.
In addition to her husband Kenneth of 50 years, she is survived by her children, Kenny Walker and LuAnn Walker Brewer of Adamsville; two grandchildren, Dustin Brewer and Dakota Brewer; one brother, Tommy Morris and his wife Nancy of Adamsville; and one sister, Rose Morris Crunk of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant sister, Judith Ann Morris.

Services were held on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Helen Hamilton officiating. Burial followed in Pine Hill Memorial Garden at Adamsville.
