Marilyn Breining (1-23-17) service 1-28-17

Ila “Marilyn” Breining, 81,  of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Savannah, died Monday, Jan. 23, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born in Vale, Tennessee, to the late Joe Vernon and Mabel Green Mitchell. She was united in marriage to William A. Breining Jr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Breining was a member of Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson, Missouri.
Survivors include three children, Bill Breining of Somerville, Tennessee, Susie Martin of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Mimi Gardner of Buford, Georgia; and six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Shackelford Chapel in Savannah.
