Jessie Perry (1-26-17) service 1-29-17

Jessie Walker Perry, 88, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Jan. 26, in Savannah.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Riley and Margaret Lou Perry.  He was united in marriage to Margaret Marie Franks, who survives. 
Mr. Perry was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a farmer and had also worked as a school bus driver for Hardin County Schools. He was a member of Cherry Chapel United Methodist Church and the Hardin Farmer’s Co-op.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Sheila Franks of Savannah; a grandchild; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 17 brothers and sisters.
Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 29,  at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Don Harold Lawrence and Daniel Holt officiating. Burial followed in Germany Branch Cemetery at Hardin County.
