Wallace Edward Sibley, 82, of Memphis, formerly of Hardin County, died on Saturday, Jan. 7.
Mr. Sibley was a member at First Assembly of God and served on the finance committee. He also served on the board of Teen Challenge for many years. He was a founder of two businesses and owner of Sibley A/C and Heating Services.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Sibley; children, Paulanne Townsend and Cristy Tiedemann; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Joann Shelton, Ted Sibley, Jack Sibley and Tommy Sibley; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by, parents, Clell and Doris Sibley; and siblings, Bobbie Tyler and Jerry Sibley.
Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at First Assembly of God Church, in Cordova. Burial followed in Crump Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the MAPS (Mobilization And Placement Services) missions program at the church, First Assembly of God Christian School or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research).
