Nicholas Bowling (1-10-17) service 1-14-17

Nicholas Jack Bowling, of Savannah, was born on Feb. 4, 1981, in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of Shirley Ann Pickens Bowling and the late Roger Dale Bowling.
Mr. Bowling worked as a diver for boats at Yellow Creek Port in Mississippi, a deckhand on a boat, and a laborer in construction. He was of Baptist faith and lived in Hardin County all of his life. Nicholas loved watching the Tennessee Vols, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves. He went to many baseball games in St. Louis and Atlanta in his younger years. Nicholas liked swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, and being with his daughter Sydney. In his later years, he enjoyed getting on the computer to keep up with everything. Nick was smart and funny. He liked to joke, argue, and talk about football.
Nicholas Jack Bowling departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the age of 35 years, 11 months, 6 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Sydney Nichole Bowling; mother, Shirley Bowling; two brothers, Byron Dale Bowling and James Chadwyck “Chad” Bowling; grandmother, Helen Pickens; nephew, Corey Dale Bowling; nieces, Amber Nicole Bowling, Olivia Bowling and Alana Hubanks; great nephew, Jaxon Dale Bowling; and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Lillian Bowling; and a grandfather, Jim Pickens.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Chris Matlock officiating. Burial followed in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery at Savannah.
