Ephriam “Gene” Rinks (1-14-17) service 1-16-17

Ephriam Eugene “Gene” Rinks, 83, of Stantonville, died on Saturday, Jan. 14.
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late Elmer and Martha “Mattie” Loualla Hunt Rinks. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Kiddy, who survives.
Mr. Rinks was a member of West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Shriners and a 32nd degree Mason Scottish Rite Lodge 338 in Adamsville. He had worked for Counce Paper Mill for more than 20 years. He had also worked for Smith Oil and Thomas Oil. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Rose Marie Rinks of Stantonville; a son, Odus Stacye Rinks of Adamsville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rinks was preceded in death by a half-sister, Virble Noe; and two brothers, Elmer Rinks Jr. and James Rinks.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan.16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with James Stophel officiating. Burial followed in Pebble Hill Cemetery near Michie.
