Ottie Franks (12-5-16) service 12-8-16

Ottie Ray Franks departed this life on Monday, Dec. 5, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 14 days. 
He was born in Hardin County on April 21, 1946, the son of the late Arthur and Elene Harville Franks. On March 6, 1964, he was united in marriage to Betty Ann Dunaway, who survives. 
Ottie had worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass and was a member of Union Church.  He loved to coon hunt when he was younger and loved to deer hunt with his children, brothers and nephews. Ottie’s love and passion was dancing, western music and gospel music.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Ann Franks of Savannah; children, Steven Ray Franks and Jeffery Daniel Franks, both of Savannah and Brian Keith Franks of Adamsville; grandchildren, Colby Franks, Haley Franks, Amanda Hill, Makayla Franks, Dace Franks, Quaid Franks, Brooke Hatchell, Toni Dickey, Karly Napier and Gracie Napier; great-grandchildren, Bentley Hill, Lily Hatchell and Ivey Hatchell; sisters, Peggy Berry and Joyce Hunter; and brothers, JC Franks, Danny Franks and Rex Franks.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Franks.
Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Josh  Franks officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
