Doris Willoughby (12-3-16) service 12-9-16

Doris Nell Hudson Willoughby was born in Savannah on Dec. 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Leonard and Cora Thrasher Hudson.
On Aug. 4, 1950, she was united in marriage to James Robert Willoughby, who preceded his wife in death on July 9, 2007.
Mrs. Willoughby worked as a receptionist for 20 years for Noland Company. She was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her home, church and family gave her great enjoyment. She loved doing for others.
Mrs. Willoughby departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 3, in Savannah, at the age of 87 years and one day.
She is survived by her two children, Robert Lynn Willoughby of Asheville, North Carolina and Janet Willoughby Mallette of Savannah; three grandchildren, Laurel Willoughby of Asheville, North Carolina, Megan Mallette Mohle and her husband Aaron of Dallas, Texas and Austin Mallette of Savannah; and two great-grandchildren, Claire Mohle and Calvin Mohle, both of Dallas, Texas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Billy Hudson.
Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Duwayne Pounds officiating. Burial will follow in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
