Carl Smith Jr. (11-23-16) service 11-30-16

Carl Douglas Smith Jr., 48, of Crump, died on Wednesday, Nov. 23. 
He was born in Savannah, the son of Jane Littlejohn Smith and the late Carl Douglas Smith Sr. He was united in marriage to Sarah Strickland, who survives.
Mr. Smith had attended Olivet Pentecostal Church and was a Sunday school teacher in the teen class. He had been preaching for the past couple of years, some at Olivet Pentecostal Church, as well as Worship and the Word on Freedom River Media. Carl had worked for Piggly Wiggly as a stocker before becoming disabled.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a brother, Chris Smith of Lexington, Tennessee.
Services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Olivet Pentecostal Church in Savannah with Danny Hicks, Earl Day and Wayne Isbell officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery  at McNairy County.
