Rita Abels (11-2-16) service 11-5-16

Rita Faye Abels, 55, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Nov. 2. 
She was born in Lake County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Vernon and Mazie Wilkerson Hunt.
She was a L.P.N. for 23 years and had most recently been employed with Corrections Corporation of America (C.C.A.) in Clifton.
She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Aday of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Tracey Williams of Savannah and Kelly Woods of Waterloo, Alabama; four grandchildren; sisters, Mary Morgan of Maryland, Patricia Shepherd of Waynesboro, Virginia, Shelia Webb of Adamsville and Donna Parrish of Savannah; and brothers, Tommy Hunt of Adamsville and James Hunt of Crump.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hunt.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Bobby Pickens officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
