Mattie Kendall (10-19-16) service 10-28-16

Mattie Joyce “Mama” Kendall, 83, of Dallas, Georgia, formerly of Savannah, died at WellStar Paulding County Nursing Center in Dallas, Georgia on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
She was born in Savannah, the seventh of eleven siblings of Robert Lee Stephens and Earlene Stephens.
She was united in marriage to Bobby G. Kendall Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kendall was a housewife. She was a member of Open Door Church of God, Refuge in Christ.
She is survived by six children: daughter, Deborah Day of Crystal, Minnesota; daughter,  Elaine Kendall of Columbus, Georgia; son, Bobby G. Kendall Jr. of Dallas, Georgia; daughter, Celeste McCrimon of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; son, Ralph David Kendall of Stone Mountain, Georgia; daughter, Mary Kendall of Apple Valley, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Martha, Doris and Barbara; three brothers, Franklin, Roger and Mark; and a host of nieces, nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Kendall Sr.; son, Johnny Eric Kendall; sisters, Anne Jo, Maxine and Dorothy; and one brother, Robert Lee Jr.
Arrangements were provided by Shackelford Funeral Directors, Hopewell Baptist Church, and Living Word Fellowship Church. Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah with Cleophas Cherry officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
