Glen Blount (9-22-16) service 9-25-16

Glen Robert Blount, 96, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Sept. 22. 
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Arthur Morris and Lura Diltha Falls Blount. He was united in marriage to Mary Frances Reed, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Blount was a creative and skilled craftsman. He built many houses, churches and various types of buildings in Savannah and surrounding communities.
He is survived by his children, Gary Blount of Murfreesboro, Glenda Hardin of Savannah, Charlotte Calvert of Savannah, Vickie Hale of Humboldt, Tennessee, Lynette Linam of Savannah, Shelley Scott of Clarksville, Tennessee; brothers, Delmas Blount and Ancil Blount, both of Savannah; sister, Geneva Rinks of Savannah; two nieces whom his parents raised, Yvetta Hilton and Jerri Mole; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Allie Whitaker; brothers, Carl, Maxell, Morris, Douglas and Danny Blount; and a great-grandchild.

Services were held on Sunday, Sept. 25, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul David Scott officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
