Essie Jeter (8-26-16) service 8-28-16

Essie Lee Jeter, 94, of Clifton, died on Friday, Aug. 26. 
She was born in Clifton, the daughter of the late Edgar “Babe” and Clatie Wheat Lineberry. 
She had worked for Clifton Manufacturing Company for many years, Hardin Medical Center in the cafeteria, and then retired from Ingram Material after many years of service.   She was a member of Riverside Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Edgar Neal Jeter of Clifton, Syble Yvonne Roach of Counce, Carolyn Gayle Williams and Alice Mae Whitlow both of Savannah; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ledeana Allen and Marie Goddard.
Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 28, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Josh Layne officiating. Burial followed in Prater’s Chapel Cemetery at Wayne County.
