Charles Davis (8-26-16) service 8-30-16

Charles Edward Davis, 72, of Savannah, died on Friday, Aug. 26. 
He was born in Olive Hill, the son of the late Robert and Pearl Bowling Davis.
Mr. Davis had worked at Gast Manufacturing in Benton Harbour, Michigan. After retirement, he moved back to his hometown of Savannah. He was an active member of Olive Hill Baptist Church, helping with the men’s breakfast, VBS, drove the church van, and did mission work. 
He is survived by his sister, Mary Meyer of Niles, Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin “Buddy” Davis; and sisters, Virginia Bishop and Marjorie Schmitt.
Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Kyle Wishert officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
Memorial donations may be made to Olive Hill Baptist Church.
