Marie Fields (8-15-16) service 8-18-16
Marie Fields, of Saltillo, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 15, at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 8 days.
She was born in Scotts Hill, Tennessee on Jan. 7, 1928, the daughter of the late J. Gid and Bessie Woody Bingham. She was united in marriage to Freeman Fields, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1987.
Marie attended Ebenezer Methodist Church while growing up. She was an inspector for HIS Sportswear in Saltillo for 32 years. Marie was a very loving mother and grandmother, and was loved by all she met.
She is survived by her children, Donald Fields and wife Gloria, Francis Rainey and husband Darrin, Sandra Tucker, Gail Harrington and husband Lynn, Sylvia Price and special friend Carl Burns, all of Saltillo; grandchildren, Mike Fields, Mitzi Fields, Michelle Brewer, Jeremy Tucker, Jana Moore, Chris Harrington, Brandon Harrington, Joanie Shreve, and Hannah Christenson; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Helen Creasy of Sardis; brother, Bob Bingham of Reagan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 13 siblings.
Services were held on Thursday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m., at Saltillo First Baptist Church in Saltillo with Phil Bridges and Lloyd Blankenship officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery of Saltillo.
