Gilberta McCasland (7-9-16) service 7-11-16

Gilberta Phillips McCasland, 93, of Savannah, died on Saturday, July 9, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Audrey Beckham Phillips. She was united in marriage to Burgess F. McCasland, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. McCasland retired from Angelica after 40 years, where she worked as a sewing machine operator.   She also had worked for Dillon Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Sheryl Wolfe of Counce  and Kerry McCasland of Crump; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Loraine Lawhorn of Collierville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Inez Gilkey; two sisters, Winell Miller and Bernita Phillips; and two brothers, Billy Phillips and Lloyd Phillips.
Services were held on Monday, July 11, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Howard Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
