Elaine Doherty (5-26-16)

Elaine Peterson Doherty, 91, of Sardis, died Thursday, May 26, at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Henry Raymond and Rose Driscoll Peterson. She was united in marriage to William Frances Doherty, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Doherty was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Holy Family Church in Rockland, Massachusetts.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie Babin of Sardis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William G. Doherty; and six brothers and sisters.
