Jenny McLemore (5-19-16) service 5-24-16

Funeral service for Jenny Lynn Sanders McLemore, age 64 of Savannah, was held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, May 24, at Savannah First United Methodist Church, followed by a graveside committal service at the Lavinia Cemetery at 5 p.m.
Surviving family includes husband, Marcus McLemore  of Savannah; son, Michael F. McLemore (Kimberly) of Nashville; daughters, Jenny Meredith Craig (Kris) of Savannah and Jana Leigh Landreth (Thomas III) of Orlando, Florida; brother, Jeff Sanders (Lisa) of Milan; sisters, Beverly Lax (Steve) of Murray, Kentucky and Melinda Bradley (Emory) of Paris; half-sister, Judy Frick (Fred) of Collierville; grandchildren, Thomas Landreth, Sam Landreth, Lauren Landreth, Evelyn McLemore and Melia Craig; sister-in-law, Shelia Rainey (Alan) of Atwood; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McLemore was a member of the Savannah Jr. Auxiliary and in recent years had served as “Team Mom” for the Hardin County High School Volleyball Team. She was a past winner of the Savannah-Hardin County Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. She graduated from Milan High School in 1970 where she was a cheerleader and helped write the school newspaper. Mrs. McLemore was Miss Milan High School of 1970.
She was a member of Savannah First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Bible Group. She had served East End United Methodist in Savannah as choir director.
One of her most cherished events was to support and encourage her children in all of their sporting events.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Dell Sanders and Debbie Sue Sanders; and a nephew, Sam Sturgeon.
She passed away on Thursday, May 19. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Savannah.
