Robert “Buddy” Hunter, 84, of Enville, died Monday, April 25, in Jackson, Tennessee
He was born in Stoddard, Missouri, the son of the late Joe Hunter and Ethel Davis Hunter Davis. He was united in marriage to Edith Watkins, who survives.
Mr. Hunter worked for McNairy County General Hospital for 34 years in the surgery department as an operating room tech. He was a member of Forty Forks Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Hunter of Enville; daughter, Peggy Jackson of Adamsville; three sisters, Ginia Foster, Norma Whitehead and Lillian Kennedy, all of Senath, Missouri; four brothers, James Hunter of Warrington, Missouri, Marshall Hunter of St. Louis, Missouri, Lester Hunter of Senath, Missouri and Otis Hunter of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby and Gary Hunter; and three brothers, Donald, Norman and Larry Hunter.
Services were held on Friday, April 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Randy Smith officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville.
