Joan C. Jones, of Savannah, departed this life on Thursday, April 7, at the age of 83 years and 1 day.
She was born in Decatur County, Tennessee on April 6, 1933, the daughter of the late Neal and Rhee Montgomery Clark.
Joan was united in marriage James Claude Jones, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1973.
Joan was one of the first female Buick/GMC dealers in the United States and was a member of Red Walnut Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, J. Clark Jones, Charles L. Jones and his wife Beverly, and Melinda Rhee Jones, all of Savannah; grandchildren, Chad Jones and his wife Stephany, Leigh Ann Jones, Megan Richards and her husband Keith, and Caylie Jones; great-grandchildren, Stryder Jones, Mabry Jones, Kori Richards and Karlie Richards.
Services were held on Sunday, April 10, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Gilbert Goff officiating. Burial followed in Red Walnut Cemetery at Decatur County, Tennessee.
