Reuben Tune, 88, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, surrounded by family.
He was born on March 2, 1928, in Waterloo, Alabama to the late Hilda and Dexter Hamilton Tune. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Earline Holcombe and Vernell White.
On July 11, 1953, Reuben married Mary W. Tune Franks in Corinth, Mississippi and moved with her to Mishawaka, Indiana where he found work at Uniroyal. He worked at Uniroyal for the next 32 years until his retirement in 1985. After his retirement, he spent much of his time working with his other great love – cars. Whether buying or selling, he loved searching for and making the best deal. Combining his two greatest loves, he travelled all over the country with his wife and his cars.
Reuben is survived by his wife, Mary W. Tune, a slew of nieces and nephews, and the rest of his family and friends. A loving husband, an awesome uncle, and a fantastic friend, Reuben will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Reuben were held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, March 24, at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. Jeff Little officiated the services with burial following at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
