Jeff Chambers was born March 15, 1954, in Selmer, the son of W.C. “Bear” and the late Mary Nell Jones Chambers.
He was united in marriage to Sheryl Glidewell on Nov. 18, 1972.
Jeff graduated from McNairy Central High School in 1972.  He worked as a self-employed carpenter and farmer, and also worked with his wife Sheryl at Flower Friends in the Gilchrist community.  Jeff loved to grow things, and enjoyed working in his garden and fishing.  He was a giver; a man with a generous spirit who was a friend to all.
Jeff departed this life on Monay, March 28, in Adamsville,  at the age of 62 years, 13 days. 
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheryl Glidewell Chambers of Adamsville; a daughter, Mahlon Chambers Hellman and husband Mark of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two sons, Dexter Chambers and wife Carrie of Gallatin, Tennessee and Dustin Chambers of Adamsville; three grandchildren, Marlee Hellman, Manning Hellman, and Denton Chambers; his father, W.C. “Bear” Chambers of Adamsville; and many extended family and friends. 
Services were held on Wednesday, March 30, at 11 a.m., at Mount Sharon Presbyterian Church in Adamsville, with Rickey Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in Gilchrist Cemetery at Adamsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lisa Ross Parker Foundation.
