Donna Sue Henson (3-26-16)

Donna Sue Hunt Henson, 71, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, March 26, at her home with her family at her side.
The daughter of the late Richard and Connie Hunt, Donna was united in marriage to Lloyd Dan Henson, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Scott Henson; and her two sisters, Ann Casteel and Peggy Young.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Jenny Morrison; and her grandchildren, Kyle Henson, Heather Henson and Kayla Murphy. Donna had six great-grandchildren whom she adored. They called her GG.
Surviving siblings are Faye Payne and Granville “Bubba” Cagle, both of Savannah, Bob Hunt of Lexington, Tennessee and Pete Hunt of Hawaii.
Donna loved life and her family and friends. She loved to travel. The last few years of her life she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and was really slowed down but she had spirit right up until she was called upon.
Her wishes are not to have a memorial and her family has no plans at this time.
Her family would like to thank Harry Nolen and Bill Payne from Pyburn Union Church who visited many times by her side during the last year or more. Also, Volunteer Hospice of Waynesboro for all their care and kindness.
Please in lieu of flowers the family asks you to do a kind act for someone or donate in any form in honor of our mother.
