Clara Hanna (3-19-16) service 3-23-16

Clara Virginia Bedwell Hanna, of Savannah, was born on March 9, 1942, in Henderson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Hershel and Lucille Smith Bedwell.
On April 15, 1962, she was united in marriage to Freddy Michael Hanna, who preceded his wife in death on Jan. 5, 2005.
Prior to moving to Savannah, Virginia lived in the Hookers Bend community.  Mrs. Hanna retired after over 30 years from the Hardin County Board of Education where she worked as an attendance secretary. She was a member of Love and Truth Church in Savannah. She was also a Red Cross CPR instructor, Girl Scout Leader, and was formerly on the Board of Directors for Reelfoot Girl Scout Council. In her spare time, she loved to work with flowers and enjoyed watching baseball and basketball.
Virginia Hanna departed this life on Saturday, March 19, in Savannah, at the age of 74 years, 10 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Harpole and her husband Daniel of Adamsville; sister, Sherry Cromwell and her husband Ronald of Savannah; brother, Paul Bedwell and his wife Reese of Counce; and twograndchildren, Michael Harpole and Jessica Harpole, both of Adamsville.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 23, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Philip Meek officiating. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery.
