J.R. McIntyre (3-13-16) service 3-16-16

J.R. McIntyre, 86, of Adamsville, died Sunday, March 13, in Adamsville.
He was born in Finger, Tennessee, the son of the late John Robert and Ollie Pearl McMann McIntyre. He was united in marriage to Minnie Dee Hester, who survives.
Mr. McIntyre served two years in the United States Marines. He was a member of Better Hope Primitive Baptist Church. He served 20 years on the Leapwood Community Board and on various farm committees. 
He is survived by his wife Dee McIntyre of Adamsville; a daughter, Pamela Burrow of South Fulton, Tennessee; two grandchildren; two nephews, both of Bethel Springs; a niece of Adamsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy McIntyre; and four sisters: Lessie McIntyre, Faye Talbott, Helen McIntyre and Vivian McIntyre.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5:30 – 9 pm and on Thursday from 10 am until services at 1 pm.
Services will be held today, Thursday, March 17, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Gene Guess officiating. Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Adamsville.
