Billy Galbraith (3-5-16) service 3-9-16

Billy G. Galbraith, 88, of Counce, died on Saturday, March 5. 
He was born in Calion, Arkansas, the son of the late Jesse and Hazel Brent Galbraith.  He was united in marriage to Imogene Reynolds, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Galbraith served his country honorably in the Navy during World War II and was stationed in Hiroshima. He was data processing manager for International Paper and a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, David Bruce Galbraith of Greenbriar, Arkansas, Gerald Matthew Galbraith of Savannah; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Williams of West Memphis, Arkansas; and brother, Jesse “Fritz” Galbraith of Thomasville, Alabama.
Memorial donations can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital,  262 Danny Thomas Place,  Memphis, Tenn. 38105; or the UAMS Myeloma Institute, 4301 W Markham St, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 9, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Ray Newcomb officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
