Betty Mallette (3-2-16) service 3-5-16

Betty Mallette was born in Woodland, Alabama, on Jan. 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Robert Young and Gussie Olga Adams Spradlin.
On March 1, 1946, she was united in marriage Jack C. Mallette, who preceded his wife in death on Nov. 25, 2006.
Mrs. Mallette was a homemaker and she was a gifted seamstress.  She loved gardening and loved her flowers.  Mrs. Mallette most of all enjoyed cooking Sunday lunch for her entire family, which she did for more than 40 years.  She was a charter member of Crump First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mallette departed this life on Wednesday, March 2,  in Savannah, at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 8 days.
She is survived by her children, Michael Spradlin and his wife Laura of Savannah, Dan Mallette and his wife Diane of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ramona Wilkerson and her husband Ronnie of Savannah, Don Mallette and his wife Denise of Jackson, Tennessee, Karl Mallette of Crump and Marie Hurst and her husband Terry of Selmer; her grandchildren, Tina Tyler and her husband Craig, Brandi Sharit and her husband Zack, Jennifer Copeland and her husband Michael, Christa Pilkinton and her husband Luke, Dr. Jack Mallette and his wife Melinda, Jolie Shipley and her husband Bo, Jamie Mallette and his wife Jacquelyn, Dr. Stacy Wilkerson and his wife Erin, Shannon Taylor and her husband Rick, Wes Wilkerson and his wife Brittany, Lennie Farmer and her husband Kevin, Jason Mallette, Dr. Jon Mallette and his wife Brooke, Joe Mallette and his wife Amy, Jenny Threadgill and her husband Sean, Russell Mallette, Megan Mohle and her husband Aaron, Austin Mallette, Andy Wilson and Addie Wilson; 36 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Kirk of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and five brothers, John Spradlin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Harvey Spradlin of Knoxville, Ronnie Spradlin of Birmingham, Alabama, Doyce Spradlin and Donnie Spradlin, both of Woodland, Alabama.
Mrs. Mallette is also survived by two longtime friends, Jo Swift and Virginia Snodgrass.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Spradlin Jr. and Danny Spradlin; and one sister, Margie Wilson.
Services were held on Saturday, March 5, at 3 p.m., at Crump First Baptist Church in Crump with Dan Mallette and Wes Wilkerson officiating. Burial followed in Crump Baptist Church Cemetery.
