Bobby Franks (2-11-16) service 2-15-16

Bobby Franks, 78, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Feb. 11, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Carl O. and Annie Wilkerson Franks. He was united in marriage to Virgie Austin, who survives.
Mr. Franks worked for the City of Savannah. He also had worked for McKennon Bridge Company, Savannah Golf Course and was a self-employed logger. Mr. Franks attended Peoples Tabernacle.
In addition to his wife, Virgie, he is survived by his children, Janie Luong, Norma Deatherage, Crystal Clark and Donnie Franks, all of Savannah; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Williad “Bill” Franks of Morris Chapel and Joe Franks of Elkhart, Indiana; and one sister, Barbara Shubert of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Franks; and two brothers, Tommy Jack Franks and Odie Franks.
Services were held on Monday, Feb. 15, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Bobby Pickett officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
