James Cox (2-1-16) service 2-4-16

James Willard “Pappy” Cox, 67, of Savannah, died Monday, Feb. 1, in Nashville.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Jessie Lynn and Ruby Christine White Cox. He was united in marriage to Mildred Marie Scott, who survives.
Mr. Cox was employed by Walmart for 14 years in the Tire and Lube Department. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Cox of Savannah; two daughters, Charolette Anderson  and Wanda Stanfill, both of Savannah; two brothers, Harley Cox of Savannah and David Cox of Morristown, Tennessee; one sister, Brenda Lambert of Savannah; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday, Feb. 4, at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah with Charles Linam and Randy Carroll officiating. Burial followed in White’s Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
