Joe Pickett (1-8-16)

Joe W. Pickett, 75, formerly of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 8, in Charleston, South Carolina. 
He was born Aug. 18, 1940, in Clifton, to the late Wallace and Nadine Roser Pickett, and raised by Jack and Alma Roser Worlow.
Joe most recently made his home in Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina after living for many years on Lake Lanier in northeast Georgia. He was a true lover of the water, enjoying boating and being on the water at all times.
Joe was an engineer for GM, beginning his career with acceptance into the General Motors Institute. He worked at both GM plants in the Atlanta area; and before retiring, Joe assisted in the designs of several GM vehicles.
Joe is survived by his wife of seven years, Sherry K. Pickett; his daughter, Laura Heard (Sidney); and two grandchildren, Jami Stocks (William) and Chase Heard. 
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jon Pickett.
