James Birk (1-3-16) service 1-9-16

James Christopher “Tennessee” Birk of Jackson, Tennessee departed this life on Monday, Jan. 3, at the age of 31 years, 5 months, 9 days. 
He was born in Lucedale, Mississippi on July 25, 1984, the son of Scott Birk and Teresa Carroll Shelton. 
James Christopher was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was employed with Performance Contractors as a safety manager.
He is survived by his father, Scott Birk and his wife Greta of Savannah; mother, Teresa Shelton and husband Carl of Rienzi, Mississippi; brothers, Kelcey Birk and wife Danielle, Wade Austin and wife Crystal, all of Savannah; nieces and nephews, Landon and Annabelle Birk, Alyssa, Hannah and Emma Austin.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Michael Roach officiating. Burial followed  in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
