Burnis Lewis (1-4-16) service 1-6-16

Burnis Carroll Lewis, 79, of Savannah, died on Monday, Jan. 4. 
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Roy and Blanche Davis Lewis. He was united in marriage to Betty Sue Deshazier, who survives.
Mr. Lewis was employed with Parris Manufacturing Company for 40 years as a die cast operator. He attended Nixon First Pentecostal Church. 
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lewis of Savannah; children, Jackie Nell Walker of Savannah, Nancy Diane Reed of Morris Chapel, Donnie Wayne Lewis and John Robert Lewis, both of Savannah; brothers, James Lewis and Gene Lewis, both of Savannah, Charles Lewis of Alabama, and Bobby L. Lewis of Morris Chapel; sisters, Doris Riley of Waynesboro, Linda Williams of Memphis, Karen Steeley of Crump, Judy Matlock of Adamsville, Debbie Presley and Geneva Duncan, both of Savannah; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Lewis; sister, Brenda Burris; and a grandson.
Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with John Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
