Lester Dickman, 86, of Savannah, died on Monday, Dec. 28.
He was born in Santa Anna, California, the son of the late Lester William and Margaret Anna Cordis Dickman. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Mary Hamilton Dickman, who survives.
Mr. Dickman received his masters degree in business management from Madison College in Madison, Tennessee and was the corporate president at Harbert Hills Academy. He was a member of Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church and Adventist-Laymens Service and Industries, which is a cooperative network of lay individuals, professionals, business owners, and ministries who collectively support the global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dickman of Savannah; children, Randall Lee Dickman and Stephen Lester Dickman, both of Savannah, and Pamela Lynette Biggers of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Marge Dickman of Placerville, California and Marlin Dickman of Piney Creek, North Carolina; and brothers, Larry Dickman of Al Campa, California and Lerroy Dickman of California.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Dickman Anderson.
Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 1, at 11 a.m., at Church of Christ in Savannah with John Johnston and Bob Wint officiating. Burial will follow in Lonesome Pine Cemetery at Savannah.
