Shirley Hazel (12-19-15) service 12-22-15

Shirley Sue Hazel, 76, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Saturday, Dec. 19. 
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Richard and Pearlie Hardin Newman. 
Ms. Hazel had previously lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she had worked as a CNA at Cotner’s Nursing Home. 
She is survived by her children, Bobby Sharp of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Francis Smith of Oklahoma, Cecil Joe Sharp of Jackson, Tennessee, Donna Janes of Walnut, Mississippi, Jan Rickman of Michie, Tonie Louise Russell of Savannah, Wanda Bascomb of Iuka, Mississippi, and George Hazel of Adamsville; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Donnie Bill Newman of Savannah; and sisters, Ann Humphrey and Gwenda Newman both of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Sharp; grandchild; brothers, J.C. and Terry Newman; and sisters, Jean Stewart, Ruby Davis and Katie Parrot.
Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Charles Jetters and Donnie Bill Newman officiating. Burial followed in Crump Cemetery.
