Waymon Perkins-Barber (11-30-15) service 12-2-15

Waymon Martin Perkins-Barber was born Jan. 17, 1934, in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Lee Andrew and Mary Odie Pugh Martin. She attended school in Chester County and was married to Guy Perkins on Nov. 26, 1950. Mr Perkins died in 2000. She later married Mr. Bobby Barber who passed in 2006. Mrs. Barber worked at several area garment factories as a seamstress and later managed the Dollar Store in Henderson. She was a member of Center Point Holiness Church.
Mrs.Perkins-Barber departed this life on Monday, Nov. 30,  in Adamsville, at the age of 81 years, 10 months, 13 days.
Mrs. Barber is survived by one daughter, Mary Gwin Plunk (Mike) of Savannah; two stepsons, Roy Barber and Bobby Barber Jr.; four sisters, Garmelia Edgar of Henderson, Vonah Martin Wood of Reagan, Cornethia Andrews of Oregon, and Retha Fanning of Revis, Missouri; two brothers, Ralph Martin of Revis, Missouri and Hugh Martin of Statonville; grandson, Chris Plunk (Jessica) and great-grandchildren, Sofie and Ty Plunk.
In addition to her parents, Mrs.Perkins-Barber was preceded in death by two husbands, Guy Perkins and Bobby Barber; three brothers, Robert Martin, Terry Martin and Harley Martin; and one sister, Christine Johnson.
Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Rev. Darren Martin officiating. Burial followed in Roby Cemetery at Chester County, Tennessee.
