Laura Frances Harris, 69, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Nov. 22.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Louis Ross and Cinderella Davis. She was united in marriage to James E. Harris, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Harris was a member of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Brown Shoe Company, where she worked as a finisher and repairer.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Oakley, Julia Barber, Sharvon Harris, Terry Harris and James L. Harris, all of Savannah; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Grady Davis of Dayton, Ohio, Willie Davis of Lansing, Michigan, and Louis Ross of Savannah; sisters, Mary Ross, Betty Hurst and Barbara Ross, all of Savannah.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Davis.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 28, at St. John’s Missionary Baptist in Savannah with Sam Reeves Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
