J.D. Inman (11-15-15) service 11-17-15

J.D. Inman, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 15, in Selmer.
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late Cuba and Nelia Lipford Inman. He was united in marriage to Ruby Faye Davis, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Inman was owner of Inman Bros. Auto Sales, Wrecker and Service Center for more 47 years. Prior to that, he was an officer for the Selmer Police Department. He had also owned Sherry’s Bake Shop and Tracie’s Auto Sales.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Inman King and Tracie Inman Whitaker, both of Selmer; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Marie Shelton of Selmer and Dorothy Nichols of Corinth, Mississippi; three brothers, Loyce Inman of Selmer, Jerry Inman of Guys, Tennessee, and Larry Inman of Selmer.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Loyd, Tom and Robert Inman.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov.17, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Harold King officiating. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery at Adamsville.
