Louis Shelby (10-14-15) service 10-17-15

Louis E. Shelby, 68, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Savannah.
He was born in Hardin County, in the Cerro Gordo community, the son of the late Sherman Edmond and Estella Marie White Shelby. He was united in marriage to Beulah Katie Watts, who survives.
Mr. Shelby worked in the shipping department for Savannah Manufacturing Company as well as for Brown Shoe Company, the Hardin County Highway Department and Hassell Lumber Company. He was also a musseller and diver for shells.
In addition to his wife Beulah Katie, he is survived by one son, Ronnie Edward Shelby of Savannah; and one brother, Johnny Bruce Shelby of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie Sue Motes.
Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jeff Crosswhite officiating. Burial followed in New Harmony Cemetery at Savannah.
