Laverne Nordness (10-13-15) service 10-20-15

Laverne Rudolph Nordness, 82, of Michie, died on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of the late Obert and Esther Hellingson Nordness. He was united in marriage to MaryLou DeMar, who survives.
Mr. Nordness had lived in Fargo, North Dakota for 28 years and worked in environmental services at Sanford Hospital. He had done missionary work in various foreign countries. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Counce.
He is survived by his wife, MaryLou DeMar Nordness of Michie; children, Rachel Bailey of Michie, Mike Nordness of Fargo, North Dakota, Ellen Champagne of Slidell, Louisiana; two grandchildren; brothers, Russell Nordness of Kissimmee, Florida and Jerome Nordness of Fall River, Wisconsin; and sisters, Celoris Hinz of Waunake, Wisconsin and Genny Castagna of Deer Lake, Wisconsin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Jerry Nordness.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at First Baptist Church of Counce with Jamie Forester officiating.
