Wilson Forsyth (9-29-15) service 10-2-15

Wilson Hugh Forsyth was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Selmer, the son of the late William Goodrum and Minnie Garvin Forsyth.
He was united in marriage to Mary Bernice Smith on Aug. 13, 1948.
He served our country in the Army during World War II. He was a retired carpenter. Wilson was a hard worker all of his life and it showed through his excellent gardening skills. Many people have enjoyed his labor of love which was grown in his garden.
Mr. Forsyth departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Adamsville, at the age of 96 years, 11 months, 11 days.
He is survived by his children, Bonnie Sue Morrow and husband Jim of Bolivar, Nellie Forsyth Carter and husband Larry of Adamsville, Reba Plaxico and husband Bob of Corinth, Mississippi, Donald Ray Forsyth and wife Donna of Selmer;15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Forsyth was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bernice Forsyth; two sons, Ralph and Billy Forsyth; his siblings: Chester, Ross, Lillie, Lonie, Adee, Estel, Aurthor and Clyde Forsyth.
Services were held on Friday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville Dennis Smith officiating. Burial followed in Hope McNairy County Memorial Cemetery at Selmer.
