Josh Young (9-28-15) service 10-14-15
Josh Young was born in McNairy County on June 6, 1981, the son of William Royce Young and Betty Jean Cummings Wilson.
Josh was a certified auto mechanic, he graduated from the Nashville Auto Diesel College. Josh worked for City of Savannah and he also had worked for Ronnie Smith Chevrolet. Josh attended Souls Harvest Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud riding 4-wheelers and sharing time with his family.
Josh departed this life on Monday, Sept. 28, in Savannah, at the age of 34 years, 3 months and 22 days.
He is survived by his son, Knox Perry Young of Savannah; his mother, Betty Wilson and her husband Ricky of Savannah; his father, Royce Young and his wife Carla of Savannah; his grandmother, Jessie Cummings of Savannah; one brother, Jason Royce Young of Savannah; five stepbrothers, Marcus Wilson of Savannah, Matthew Wilson of Adamsville, Corey Craig of Gadsden, Alabama, Colby Craig of Savannah and Casey Craig of Nashville; and one stepsister, Misty Stricklin Franks of Savannah.
Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jeff Crosswhite and Bobby Pickens officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Savannah.
