Archie Stricklin (10-4-15) service 10-6-15

Archie Stricklin, 86, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Oct. 4, in Corinth, Mississippi.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Bob and Linia Rich Stricklin. He was united in marriage to Peggy Stanfield, who survives.
Mr. Stricklin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a supervisor for Parris Manufacturing Company for 26 years. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and he was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his wife Peggy Stricklin of Savannah, he is survived by two daughters, Beverly Hunt of Savannah and Kay Rose of Olive Hill; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Darnell; and two brothers, James B. Stricklin and Harve D. Stricklin.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Artie Rivers and James Shutt officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
