James Sanders (9-25-15) service 9-27-15

James Travis Sanders, 80, of Savannah, died on Friday, Sept. 25.
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late John R. and Velma Gurley Sanders. He was united in marriage to Betty Broughton, who survives.
Mr. Sanders was the owner of Sanders Office Supply in Savannah. He had also driven a grain truck for Karl Foresbach and Hardin Farmers Co-op. He was a member of Adamsville Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife Betty Sanders of Savannah, he is survived by his children, Wendell Sanders of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Danna Plunk of Adamsville, Tim Sanders of Ashville, North Carolina; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Adams of Guys, Tennessee and Dora Berry of Corinth, Mississippi; and brothers, Wayne Sanders of Bartlett, Tennessee and Bill Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Owens; and brothers, Bobby Sanders, Horace Sanders and Joe Sanders.
Services were held on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Tim Carothers and Van Vansandt officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery at Iuka, Mississippi.
