Mable Bishop (8-29-15) service 9-2-15

Mable Irene Thompson Bishop, 77, resident of Fayette County, Tennessee, died Saturday, Aug. 29, at her residence.
She was born in Somerville, Tennessee, daughter of the late John Thompson and Ora Lee Perrigo Thompson. She was married to Roy Edward Bishop, who survives.
Mrs. Bishop was employed as a seamstress for Somerville Manufacturing Corporation and Master Apparel Corporation for more than 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Roy Edward Bishop, she is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Tennyson of Savannah; her step-daughter, Sandra Tranum of Somerville; her step-son, Wendell Bishop of Brownsville; five sisters, Claire Mitchell of Booneville, Mississippi, Pauline Conner, Sarah Cannon, Mary Johnson and Martha Ann Cannon, all of Somerville; two brothers, Toby Thompson of Booneville, Mississippi, Bobby Thompson of Somerville; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Cannon; two brothers, Tommy Thompson and Danny Ray Thompson; and her half-brother, Jodie Perrigo.
Services of remembrance were held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Barry Bishop, pastor of Life Wind Covenant Church in Selmer, officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center –Main Chapel of Somerville.
