Dr. William Cooper (8-16-15)

Dr. William Gene Cooper, 71, of Saltillo, died on Sunday Aug. 16, in Lexington. 
Dr. Cooper was a retired physician. 
He is survived by two sons,  Kalani Cooper of Savannah and Kaimi Cooper of Selmer;  a daughter, Heather Christian Scholz of California; his mother, Betty Viola Hooker of Arizona; two sisters, Connie Samson and Janelle Cooper of Arizona; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife, Leialohaleimakamai Cooper of Saltillo.
Dr. Cooper had expressed his wishes for cremation prior to his passing.
