Jimmy Melton Sr. (7-21-15) service 7-24-15

Jimmy Melson Sr., 67, of Morris Chapel, died Tuesday, July 21, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Henderson County, Tennessee, the son of Mavie Nadell Brewer Melton and the late James Eli Melton.
Mr. Melton was a self-employed real estate investor. He also had worked for Decaturville Sportswear and his first job was selling Singer sewing machines.
He is survived by his children, Jimmy Glenn Melton Jr. of Lexington, Tennessee, Linda Dianne Bartholomew of Wildersville, Tennessee, James Cooper Melton of Lexington  and Jimmy James “J.J.” Melton of Morris Chapel; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; his mother, Mavie Melton of Lexington; two brothers, Larry Steven Melton of Lexington and Sammy Brewer Melton of Parsons; and two sisters, Dimple Nadell McEwen of Corinth, Mississippi and Mavie Denise Youngson of Lexington.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Eli Melton.
Services were held on Friday, July 24, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial followed in Barren Springs at Reagan, Tennessee.
